Mossovet State Academic Theatre is celebrating its 100th birthday. What secrets does the old theatre keep? Take a peek behind the curtains, where cult classics and experimental performances intertwine, where stage royalty and aspiring actors live their lives dreaming, feuding and falling in love.

ALEXEY KOKORIN

Alexey was born on 27 July in Kirov to the family of a train driver and doctor. He graduated from high school in 2008. In 2010 he entered the international acting program of the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute and the International Center Lomonosov in Geneva (Switzerland) run by E. Knyazev. In 2014 he graduated from the institute and returned to Moscow where Mark Zakharov invited him to the Lenkom theatre. He staged several plays at Moscow theatres and abroad.

In 2017 he started working with Slava Polunin, he acted in The Snow Show through 2019. In 2019 he became a co-founder of the Russian Union of Street Theatres. In 2020 he entered Directing Faculty of VGIK (S. Solovyov's workshop. After Solovyov's departure the workshop was run by N. Lebedev).

In 2020 he took up photography. His works were presented at high-profile exhibitions (Blazart, Vinzavod, Thursday Foundation).
