ABOUT
A Nanaez man living in difficult conditions in a remote village on the banks of the Amur River must support his small family by fishing. He, his wife and child have been living for many years according to the long-established way of life in these places. There are few residents left in this remote village and there are no prospects for settlement. Recently, by the decision of the authorities, fishing in these places has become controlled, which further complicates the life of the family. However, he is not going to leave here, despite constant calls to leave his native land.

VALERIY USKOV
Valery Uskov comes from the village of Topolevo, Khabarovsk region. When he was 13, he started filming with his first camera. At the same age, he realized that he wanted to film for the rest of his life. At the age of 18 he went to Moscow to study film directing. He has worked on various projects as assistant director, co-director, lamp man, gaffer, camera mechanic, executive producer, focus puller, etc. Valery has shot many music videos, YouTube and TV projects as director, cameraman, and DoP. As DoP he has also made short films "The Beast” and “Shift Worker" in association with SAHAFILM company. Also as director, producer, DoP he shot his debut short documentary film "AMBA".
