THE AMAZONS

Nancy shares an intimate portrait of the invisible battles that a woman lives in her illusion of feeling complete, after surviving breast cancer. She will look for strategies to fight ignorance, machismo and social taboos that exist culturally around women's bodies, facing a daily life full of sequels and her own re-conceptualization of femininity.

María is a part of the first generation of GOOD PITCH MEXICO together with DocSociety and DocsMx. She worked as SET PA for Zöe Kravitz's fiction feature debut "Blink Twice". She is the director of her debut feature documentary "Las Amazonas" and is the screenwriter of the comedy fiction feature "Toco Madera" (EFICINE 2023 - Premiere 2025).
