THE FERRYMAN

Perevoz is a dying island village. Thus, the cemetery on the neighboring island has become a shelter for even more people. Tolik, one of the last remaining residents in Perevoz, has no job. He, as the only boatman in the village, became a ferryman, whose only duty is to help the alive to honor the memory of the departed, and to help the dead to set off on their final journey across the river.

CHRISTINA LEBEDZEVA

Born in 2002 in Polotsk, Belarus. In 2021 she entered VGIK, V.P. Lisakovich's workshop of non-fiction film directing. As director she made documentary films "Fairy Tale. On Weekdays and Holidays" (2021), "From the Side" (2022), "The Ferryman" (2023).
