ABOUT
Little girl Stesha lives in a country house. She is isolated from the outside world and immersed in the world of games and fantasies. Her drawings reflect the inner world - the image of Paradise, which slips away as she grows up.
DIRECTOR
MIKHAIL GOROBCHUK
Mikhail Gorobchuk was born in 1988 in Novokuznetsk, Russia. In 2010 he graduated from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), the Faculty of Cinematography (I. Klebanov’s workshop). In 2007 he received the presidential grant for the talented youth. In 2012 he debuted as a non-fiction films director. In 2013 he received the National Laurel Branch Award in the field of documentaries and television as the best professional cinematographer. In 2014 he became a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation and member of The Documentary Film and Television Guild. In 2021 he gave classes at the Institute of Contemporary Art and the Irkutsk branch of VGIK. Apart from documentaries, he is into clay animation. Director of the animated films The Breath of the Tundra (2012), The Cuckoo (2013), Idee Fixe (2015), and the documentaries Junker (2017), Katya and Stefania. A Portrait (2018), Shadows of Your Childhood (2019), and Hard to Be a Friend (2021).
